DIY #1 Expressionist nails

This is my favorite DIY for nails. All you need is a Revlon Nail Art Expressionist tube, some clear polish and a steady hand :)
I'll use a close-up of my thumb to demonstrate. Apply two coats of the black end of the Expressionist tube. This can be done with other colors as well.

 After it dries, use the white end of the tube to create diagonal stripes along your nail. The white end has a very small applicator brush instead of the average size, which makes it easier.

Wait for the white to completely dry, then apply clear polish to add some shine and chip protection.

DONE!!

DIY #2 Sparkly nails with black tips!!!                                               Needed: Sparkly nail polish, black nail polish, clear nail polish, a steady hand                                                               -This looks really good with french nails. But no tengo. Really it looks good either way.

Start with clean nails. Apply two coats of sparkly nail polish.

 Using your steady hand, apply black nail polish to only the tips.

 Apply a coat or two of clear to finish it off with a nice shine :)

DIY #3 Gradient Nails!!

NOTE: Never get nail polish on a foam paper plate (like Rena did). It will eat the plate like acid.




ANOTHER NOTE: the same gradient look can be applied to sparkly polish. See the post sparkly gradient nails 

Step 1: Apply a base coat and a dark shade of polish.

Step 2: Apply a second, lighter color onto a wedge make-up sponge. The lighter color should compliment the darker one. Make sure you apply it evenly.

Step 3: Dab the sponge onto your nail. Focus on the tip. Don't worry if it's not perfect.

Step 4: Keep dabbing the sponge up your nail as the polish fades.

Step 5: Get some glittery polish and add it on top of the lighter part of the gradient.

Step 6: Finish it off with a clear top coat. Done!

DIY #4 Colored French Tips


Just choose your favorite color and paint only the tips of your nails. Cover with a coat of clear for shine and you are all done!
